SSI Drysuit Course

The SSI Try Scuba program is the best way to try scuba diving for the first time. Our Try Scuba´s take place in the swimming pool, we have the use of multiple swimming pools throughout Cornwall we will update the event once someone has booked with a location. If you are first to book, you get to choose.

Tuesday evening pool sessions at Carn Brea Leisure Centre, Pool, Redruth. 

Meeting at 1930 at the leisure centre the hour long sessions runs from 8pm - 9pm in the 3m deep dive pit area of the main swimming pool. 

Perfect to use as a refresher, try a new equipment set up or just dust up on those skills. 

Packages available with / without cylinders or equipment hire. 

FOR CERTIFIED DIVERS ONLY - any training agency welcome, proof of certification and logged dives will be required.

With the SSI Scuba Skills Update, we will get you back in the water and diving with ease in no time. This scuba refresher course allows you to review and practice scuba skills you learned in your Open Water Diver program, under the guidance of an SSI Professional. This is a great course to take just before a dive holiday, so you spend less time worrying about your skills and more time admiring the marine life.

If you are a non-certified Open Water Diver student, a Scuba Skills Update is ideal for practicing your dive skills before your open water training dives. With no fixed course duration, you can take your time and focus on the skills you need help with.

SSI Scuba Skills Update

Join us on our boat - these dives will take place out of Falmouth Haven, the slipway next to  Trago Mills. The time indicated is the "ropes off" time, please arrive at least 30mins before, to get your equipment ready and loaded onto the boat. 

If you require equipment hire, please ensure you tick the optional extra box. 

Please note all dives will be approx 1-5hours from ropes off time before we are back at the marina.

Boat Dives

As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom times and safety margins, plus shorten your surface intervals - so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge whilst learning how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will earn an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 40% certification.

Enriched Air Nitrox

Thanks to the SSI Basic Diver program, you will be able to learn the basic concepts of diving and then take your first breaths underwater in the ocean with a dive, applying what you have learned at one of our wonderful dive sites, to a depth of 12 meters.

We start in the morning with an explanation of the most important principles and aspects of scuba diving and afterwards, a dive is carried out in a controlled environment (swimming pool)

After a break, we will meet again for 2nd session. 

You will enjoy putting into practice what you have learned in the morning. After the briefing and preparation, we will travel to one of our local sheltered shore diving spots. You will dive with the same instructor from the morning session to ensure your safety and comfort. 

After completing the Basic Diver, a temporary diving certification is provided. It has an expiration of 6 months, during which you can continue with the training and learning by starting courses such as Open Water Diver, since the Basic Diver program includes one of the necessary dives to obtain the Open Water Diver certification.
